Sweets is great at coloring. She loved it. Stayed on the paper and her grasp was fairly good for the first time holding a crayon.
Bee was a goof with his coloring but he did it and then played hide and seek with me. Adorbs.
I had Bee cut and rip construction paper and glue it onto a flag. It took lots of guidance and redirection. Constantly but it really as fun. Yes, we got glue all over the place.
We had the most perfect Canada Day that we could have had. We watched the parade and collected candy. Bee doesn't really like candy and he preferred to watch the floats to he just stayed on our mat for the most part. Jace even jumped on his high school 10 year reunion float.
After we had a BBQ and played with our extended family. We blew up a billion water balloons. Bee stashed over 50 balloon in the playhouse cupboards. Jace taught our nephew how to hit a sponge with a pool noodle, practically baseball. It kept them nice and cool.
The weather here was insanely hot, especially with no A/C. So on Thursday we grabbed some friends and headed out to the movies. We saw "Inside Out." It was soo so cute and a great lesson too. Bee just sat there stuffing his face with popcorn. Sweets was restless. Crawling all over me, trying to jump over the seat in front of us and holding one of our friends hands. They were incredibly cute.
Friday we melted and figured that wasn't worth it. Our adventure of the day was Club Roma's. That is Jason's grandmas house. We just played in the basement and enjoyed the A/C. We read books, played with lego and stuffed animals.
Saturday we got up early and ventured to Waterton National Park for a nice family hike.
Bee walked almost the whole way. He ran, climbed, laughed and explored.
We had a wonderful crazy summer week.
