Planning Matrix

I have an incredible planner!! It has my whole life in it which I absolutely love. Often life can get crazy and soon papers are scattered though out the house. Especially with multiple kids. My planner has everything in one spot, I know where everything is and can find it quickly. It brings peace to my life. Seriously.

This year In The Leafy Tree Top's Mormon Mom Planner added a planning matrix. It is mostly a grid with sections separating the weeks. There were many suggested uses however none of them really struck a cord with me. After some thought I decided to use it for planning our weekly work boxes. There is enough space on the daily squares to write activities and the weekly sections is the perfect resource collector. Tada!! So I broke out my trusty washi tape and got to work. It has been amazing having everything in one spot.

It is easy for me to see what activities we have done recently to provide a better rotation for the kids. Also gathering resources is quicker and less stressful because I simply have to find the objects on my list instead of brainstorming while staring blankly at my storage.

Here is what my February planning matrix looked like.

Do you have any planning tips? What keeps you organized?

It's a Birthday!!

We've had a birthday shout hooray!

Bee is three and he is so excited about it. Whenever he is asked a question the majority of his answers are three. Name, three. Favorite color, three. What are we doing, three. I'm hoping his enthusiasm doesn't last very long.

For his birthday we did a birthday interview so that we can remember all of the cute things that he says and thinks. I am hoping that we have started a new tradition.

Happy Halloween!

We loved our costumes this year! We always try and incorporate a theme into our fancy costumes.

This year we went as the Little Mermaid!!

The kids went as Flounder and Sebastian.
Jason and I took our true form as royalty, Prince Eric and Ariel.
